When you think of beer from Holland you think of pils. This is the style of beer developed in Bohemia in the 1840s which rapidly spread around the world and today dominate global beer sales. In the UK, we tend to call this style lager but as any beer writer will tell you, there are really pilsners and paler lagers. Each have their place of course, but a genuine pilsner style, will be golden in colour, with an alcohol by volume between 4.4 and 5.5 and a balanced palate between sweet malt and bitter-sweet hops.
And in a nutshell, that's Grolsch premium lager.
