About Onlyfinebeer
Our first shop was opened in the summer of 1996 in the East of London and was described as a 'beer oasis' by some. When we first went online in 1997 we had a grand total of 46 beers on offer and the name Onlyfinebeer had not even been thought of. Over the years we have evolved to what you see now - below, we list some highlights:
- 1999: Onlyfinebeer web site launched.
- 2001: We move to a new web architecture allowing us to add a search facility to the site.
- 2003: Beer reviews are added to the site.
- 2004: Relocation of the shop to Chelmsford in Essex. Addition of beer festivals section to the web site.
- 2005: We now boast over 1000 beers to buy (1030 beers, January). Launch the pub finder function.
- 2006: New web site launched with secure checkout, advanced search, RSS feeds and popular beer archive.

We have partnered with specialist local breweries to brew and supply bespoke beers for your event or party. Starting from quantities of just 10 cases, you can have whatever themed beer for whatever reason.
